Offshore Biotechnologies is the leading technology developer for underwater restoration of shallow and deep-sea marine ecosystems.
We’ve developed new systems and technology to enable cost effective, large-scale restoration using surface deployment and subsea methods.
We specialise in managing offshore ecosystems for the energy sector. We are developing ship-based technologies to minimise biosecurity risks and integrate restoration and enhancement with the asset construction and decommissioning cycle.

Offshore Biotechnologies, and partners Deakin University, are developing innovative 3D volumetric modelling tools, to help clients measure biodiversity additionality.
Like ultrasound and MRI technology used by doctors, the models create a three-dimensional picture of the seafloor at the resolution of centimetres.
With highly precise measuring equipment, regular assessments over time can provide accurate accounts of biomass change, validating nature positive outcomes.
The models provide a visual and data rich understanding of three-dimensional changes in seabed communities, both on and off seabed infrastructure and throughout restoration areas.
